
David Dement has been married to the former Jane Harris for 30 yeers. They have a daughter, Emilee, and one grandchild, Ella. Recently David was promoted to a position in Regional Management Training with Kroger, for whom he has worked 29 years. David was a deacon for the church at Ellendale before he was appointed to serve as an elder. He has been an elder/shepherd/overseer for this congegation for eight years. He is a teacher for the teenage Bible class and is active in virtually all of the work programs of the church. His recreational interests include hunting and fishing. Jane says he is also a ”fix-it man” – if it is broken, David can figure out how to fix it.

Billy Sharp has been married to the former Janie Simmons for 49 years. They have two son who are twins and four grandchildren. He and Janie worked with the teenagers at Gragg Ave. church of Christ for 20 years. He also was a deacon at Gragg Avenue as well as serving as an elder for seven years. He has been an elder/shepherd/overseer for the church of Christ at Ellendale since 2007. Billy has been self-employed in fence construction for over 45 years; the name of his business is Liberty Fence Company. Billy teaches an adult Bible class, and like David, is active in the work programs of the church. He and David take their shepherding role seriously as is evident in their active involvement in the lives of the members of the church.
